I got this headcanon where it threatened Korra telepathically.

The spirit came as a messenger from Koh to say that the Avatar doesn’t belong in the human world anymore, that she’s abusing her powers, and should return to the Spirit World. Korra, being Korra, laughed at the spirit’s face, and said it was a bunch of lies. She got out of the spirit’s claw/hand/thing-y’s, and threatened the Spirit to go back to the Spirit World. It didn’t listen and decided to wreck havoc in town -or wherever they are-, which caused Korra to use the Avatar State. The spirit and Avatar State!Korra battle it out in town, and Korra finally traps the spirit with Earthbending and Waterbending. The spirit once again uses telepathy to inform Korra about the damages she brought on the town because of her and that she’s really abusing her powers, and vanishes.
